This original East German military VM greatcoat is an authentic piece of Cold War–era uniform equipment. Issued in the former German Democratic Republic (DDR), this double-breasted greatcoat was worn by VM (Volkspolizei / paramilitary) personnel and reflects the distinctive military style of the period.
Made in a classic dark blue color, the greatcoat features a traditional double-breasted front with metal buttons, structured shoulders, and a long cut designed to provide warmth and protection in cold weather. The heavy outer fabric and formal military tailoring make it suitable for parade use, service wear, or ceremonial occasions.
